The following modules will be covered during the first
day:
Module
1: Introduction
Overview of course and classroom.
Module
2: What is Active Administrator?
Benefits of Active Administrator will be discussed providing
an initial understanding of the enhancements and functionality
provided to administrators.
Module
3: Installing and Configuring Active Administrator
The installation of Active Administrator
will be discussed. The lab will allow all students to install
Active Administrator which will reinforce the material covered
during this module.
Module
4: Active Directory Security and Active Templates
The process in which Active Administrator
examines security and provides administrators with an understanding
of the Active Directory security will be examined. How Active
Templates will provide an efficient manner of delegation
of permission within Active Directory will be discussed.
Module
5: Active Directory Auditing
The ability of centralized Active
Directory auditing and reporting will be examined in detail.
Module
6: GPO Management
Group Policy Object management covers
a multitude of different capabilities available within Active
Administrator. The options available which will be covered
in detail are as follows, Group Policy Objects, Group Policy
History, Group Policy Offline Repository, Resultant Set
of Policies (RSoP), Group Policy Objects by Container and
Client Side Troubleshooting.
Module
7: Active Directory Object Backup and Restore
Active Directory Object Restore allows
administrators to backup Active Directory object and attributes.
This functionality will be covered in depth during the module.
